Pink Overdose

What's left from my latest trip to Sydney, the pink overdose outfit! Actually, I got quite many questions regarding the outfit that I wore here, so make sure to scroll till the end of the post to find out about the details ;)
Well, it's been a while since I last wore a matching suit, isn't it? At first, I was deliberating whether I should just wear the suit formally or not, but at last I decided to wear it rather casually because we were just having a casual lunch here after all hahaha. So, how do you like this look?

February 14

First of all, let me wish you guys a Happy Valentine’s Day and I hope you’re feeling really loved today :) And as for me, here I am currently halfway packing for tonight’s trip to Turkey and am still stuck between all the stuff that I should bring and whatnot.

Well, since I still got some time to kill before finishing the mess up and get ready for our Valentine’s Day lunch, here goes a little souvenir from my latest trip to Bangkok, another instagramable cafe/space that we discovered during the trip.

Thanks to my cousin, Citra for recommending us this beautiful wall in front of Kay’s Boutique Breakfast. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to try their brunch menu because the queue was unbelievably long on the weekend, instead we managed to take away their famous drink, The Hulk. It’s a mix of matcha and chocolate, and it’s surprisingly good. Will def come back for the drink!

Wine red

Never a fan of wine but I always love wine red shade. For this year CNY, I've been piling up a few options that I will wear on the day and this pair of pants is obviously one of them. Why? Other than the theme-matched color, it's high waisted! Aside from oversized clothing, high waisted pants are perfect to hide your lower belly when you're over eating, seriously.
Just so you know, my must-follow rules for CNY is to wear rather simple and comfortable outfit and if possible, wear oversized ;)

Wide leg jeans

You know, despite being just 156 cm tall, I actually never have a problem when shopping for long pants (esp oversized ones) or wearing them; I don't even need to alter them though I have short legs. Why? Obvioulsy because I wear high heels all the time.

But then, how to make your petite self look taller, even when you are sitting?
My trick is to style a pair of oversized wide leg pants (or jeans in this case) with a pair of really high heels. I normally use 14cm heels, but here I use the 16cm ones because these pants are a little bit longer than my usuals. Good thing is, oversized and longer pants tend to hide your shoes well, so people won't really notice how high your heels are. No matter when you are sitting or standing, you'll definitely look tall.

HAPPY 2019!

Let me start this entry by wishing all of you a HAPPY 2019! Thank you for all your support throughout 2018 and cheers! I had so many great and memorable memories in 2018 and am looking forward to making many more great ones in 2019.

My New Year resolutions? One is to write more! Sorry for always being MIA here on the blog because of many reasons, but this year, I will try to update more even during my travel time. Two is to make more videos *fingerscrossed* after we move into our new house which has been delayed due to (again) many reasons. Three is to collaborate more and last, is to make time for exercise because I got sick way too many times last year.

Unlike the past years, this year my husband and I spent our New Year in town. Starting from a low-key countdown at home, New Year lunch with my parents, having our coffee fix and a movie date after. How about you guys? :)

Addiction

Spell Dior, read: classic. When talking about classic brands, I believe there are many that you can think of and I’m sure one of them has got to be Dior. Correct me if I’m wrong.
Well, it hasn’t been long since Maria Grazia Chiuri took over the Artistic Director possition at Dior and she already won lots of women’s hearts by celebrating feminism in the right way. Not only that, this new addiction of Dioraddict line is trully an addiction. It’s well-edited with a modern twist yet still as iconic, it’s everything Dior.

My pick is the new Fall 2018’s Dioraddict flap bag in black gold color studded cannage metallized fine grain calfskin. It is very easy to style because of its neutral color and it matches with almost every look, may it be casual or formal.

A pop of yummy pink

It's been a while since I last visited Bali, stayed for quite a few nights and had a chance to stroll around the city. Normally, we would only stay for 2 nights, well 3 max and would just settle at the villa and have our food delivered, thus I didn't really know much of the happening places in Bali.

Imagine how happy I was to discover many places for the first time during our latest trip, like La Joya Ii Biu Biu here, Motel Mexicola, Mrs Sippy and Nalu Bowls! I bet you are laughing at me right now, but guess what? It doesn't help because I still don't know that much of them places, so why don't you help me here since I'll be going to Bali again next month :)

Any recommendation is welcome, guys! and thank you in advance :)

Featuring my current favorite eye candy, this lovely Weat toast bag in yummy pink and it's also available in many colors at Lady Bijoux.
What I love about this bag is that you can wear it in many different ways, as a sling bag, belt bag, clutch, you name it, you can even use it as a bag charm. You know you can never get bored styling the toast bag ;)

Roller Coaster

The one item that I used most of the time during my last trip to Florence, Il Bisonte baby doctor bag. I first knew about the doctor bag because I scored the big one in Jakarta and then I got introduced to this extra lovely baby version while visiting their store in Florence; it was like love at the first sight and I knew then I had to have the bag.

Well, the bag might look small but don't underestimate it because you might also be surprised to know that my Olympus camera can fit inside, not just the body but with the lens as well! Yup, no kidding. Good news is that Il Bisonte baby doctor bag is coming to Jakarta super soon, so be sure not to miss it because I believe they don't have that many stocks here. And oh, it's also available in black color! ;)

On the bench

Sitting on the bench, enjoying the Autumn weather at Parco Sempione in Milan accompanied by one of my favorite Bulgari Serpenti bag and a matching boater hat. This is actually a sneak peek post of what coming up next: my travel diary of the whole Bulgari trip that I went to last month, from Milan to Venice, then Valenza, Rome and Vatican. There will be three separate posts you can look forward to and beware, loads of pictures are coming.

Still going strong this year, the boater hat trend! The straw boater has become many people's favorite item especially to bring for traveling, it's so chic and easy to match even with just the simplest outfit. During bad hair day, it can be your savior but do note that having a good boater is quite important. I myself have been collecting them boaters since last year and my favorite has got to be everything from Shabby De Hat. The brand is originally from Thailand and well, the quality of their products is impeccable, you can even tell from pictures. It's strong and stiff, definitely not easy to get squashed or soggy, even from the rain. To sum it up, it's just my ideal type of straw boater, period.

Gold chain

Gold chain and the usual palette.

Styling a piece of skort can be very tricky for me especially because I don't normally wear one and believe me, this time I even needed more time to find the perfect match for it. Even though I have so many versatile white shirts, most of them are oversized and too long for the skort that I had to look into my other pile of clothes which is full of brand-new old stuff. You know, us women love to shop for just everything and then we'll just leave them in one corner until we remember about that particular pile of stuff again, am I right or am I right? ;)

Anyway, it's a good thing that I can never stop buying white shirts that I have so many of them models and designs, yet I am still collecting more because one can never have too many white shirts. Believing at least I can find something to match this tricky but cute skort, I finally found this very shirt I didn't even remember buying in the end; what do you think of the final look? Not bad, ey?
